In line with our theme for this month, we will be sharing both created and curated content - which will be research and evidence based - on the topic of identity. The first curated resource we wish to share is an article centred on the importance of accounting for the role of identity, and importantly the intersectionality of our identities, to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The author poses the view that to ensure a workplace prioritises psychological safety then it must move beyond viewing individuals through the lens of traditional demographics and account for the many overlapping identities they can possess. They also provide some examples of practices which have the potential to help achieve this. We would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on this piece.
